Van Gas activated alumina is a porous form of aluminum oxide in a bead form. The large surface area of activated alumina maximizes the adsorption of moisture vapors within the natural gas stream. Due to the physical properties of this dry bed desiccant, Van Gas activated alumina does not change shape while adsorbing moisture, even once it has become 100% saturated.

Our activated alumina will not soften or disintegrate when immersed in water. Van Gas activated alumina desiccant is easily regenerated to its original adsorption capacity by purging with dry gas in our heatless regenerative dryers.

Activated alumina desiccant is for use in all types of regenerative natural gas dryers. Based upon dryer design and operating conditions, dew points to -40° F and lower may be achieved with Van Gas activated alumina adsorbent desiccant.
